You can live your dream

To those who are right now fighting for their dreams. Watch this. Just 6 minutes of your time to make a difference.

“We spent a lot of time trying to make people like us. Worrying too much about what people think and say. You know people more than you know yourself. You know what? You spend soo much time investing time to know them that you don’t know who you are. I challenge you…go spend time by yourself.”

Know the real you.

Go spend 1 hour by yourself. Think about what you really want. What’s stopping you? Do you really want it? If yes, what can you do about it?

Will you become who you really are?

Cheers to Make Good Art!

Here’s a good video to those who inspire and have a strong passion for a creative life!

“The one thing you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can. The moment that you feel that just possibly you are walking down the street naked…that’s the moment you may be starting to get it right.” – Neil Gaiman

5 important points as said by Neil Gaiman:

1. When you start out on a career in the arts you have no idea what you are doing. This is great. People who know what they are doing know the rules, and know what is possible and impossible. You do not. And you should not.…

2. If you have an idea of what you want to make, what you were put here to do, then just go and do that. And that’s much harder than it sounds and, sometimes in the end, so much easier than you might imagine.…I learned to write by writing. I tended to do anything as long as it felt like an adventure, and to stop when it felt like work, which meant that life did not feel like work.

3. When you start off, you have to deal with the problems of failure. You need to be thickskinned, to learn that not every project will survive.…The problems of failure are problems of discouragement, of hopelessness, of hunger. You want everything to happen and you want it now, and things go wrong.…

4. I hope you’ll make mistakes. If you’re making mistakes, it means you’re out there doing something. And the mistakes in themselves can be useful.…Life is sometimes hard. Things go wrong, in life and in love and in business and in friendship and in health and in all the other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do: Make good art. Make it on the good days too.

5. Do the stuff that only you can do. The urge, starting out, is to copy. And that’s not a bad thing. Most of us only find our own voices after we’ve sounded like a lot of other people. But the one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.…We’re in a transitional world right now, if you’re in any kind of artistic field, because the nature of distribution is changing, the models by which creators got their work out into the world, and got to keep a roof over their heads and buy sandwiches while they did that, are all changing.…The rules, the assumptions, the now-we’re supposed to’s of how you get your work seen, and what you do then, are breaking down. The gatekeepers are leaving their gates.…The old rules are crumbling and nobody knows what the new rules are. So make up your own rules.

“And now go, and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make good art!” -Neil Gaiman

From Failure to Success

Have you ever failed in your subjects at school?

Have you ever wanted soo badly to be in a course or school but your applications were denied?

Have you ever had people in your life that always say your dreams are ridiculous and you cannot make it?

So have I! Believe me, you are not the only one. It is common!

Everyone has failed in some part of their life. There are times where people will tell you that you just cannot make it. So what are you going to do about it?

How you respond to these will determine your future. You can choose to accept fate as it is and believe with the words of those negative people. In the end, you will find as you grow up life gets even harder and you get demoralized. You would feel that everything and everyone is against you. You will never be able to get your dreams fulfilled.

On the other hand, you can choose to face those failures and prove those negative people wrong. Be brave to accept that you have failed BUT attempt to overcome it. At least, that is a step to move forward rather than nothing. If you need help, do not be afraid to ask.

As for those negative people in your life, you have a choice to just stay away from them BUT remember the words that they said. You would be surprised that their words which triggered you with intense emotions can be changed to strong perseverance to prove them wrong. After all, it is human instinct for everyone to have that strong urge to prove that they are right.

At the end of it, you will definitely be able to achieve your dreams.

To achieve your dreams, you need to have a strong desire for it. The challenges that you face will provide you with the resilience and perseverance to make you stronger and closer to your dreams. Just don’t lose sight of your dream!

It is not easy to succeed in life. When you think that you cannot face your failures and challenges, think about those successful people in the video. If they can do it, so can you!

P.S. When you are in the working world, you will still face failures and negative people along the way. So, isn’t it better that you start early to face these? 😉
